Glass Blowing Introductory Workshops
How old do I have to be to take part in a course?
From 15 years old.
Can I take my creations home the same day?
No the objects need to be annealed overnight. Your creations will be available to collect the next day (except Sundays).
What if I do not live locally and cannot collect my creations?
We can ship the items to you for an additional cost of 15 euros. Please note we are not responsible for any breakagesor loss in transit.
What kind of clothes should I wear?
Wear cotton clothes that you don't mind getting dirty or damaged during the workshop. Tie long hair back. Do not wear jewelry.
What will I make during the workshop?
A small simple blown object such as a goblet or small vase with coloured glass powders. Then a small solid glass object such as a bird, flower or paperweight.
What should I bring with me on the day?
Your camera or phone to take pictures of the day. to show your friends and family.
Products
Are all of your products hand made?
Yes I design and create all of my products from start to finish. I use various complex techniques including glass blowing and sculpting at the furnace. I also use pâte de verre. Once the object has been made, the finishing stage includes, drilling, grinding, polishing and sand blasting.
How long does it take to create a item?
It can take anything from a few hours for a simple item, to several days for a complex creation, plus many weeks of design, trial and error to get the finished creation as I envisaged it.
Are all of your items the same specification, for example your goblets?
No as each item is hand made there can be subtle differences in shape, size and colour.
Shipping
What countries do you ship to?
We only ship to countries within the European Union. Please see our full shipping policy here.
Which couriers do you use?
We mainly use La Poste, however on occasion we may use a private courier where necessary.
How much do you charge for delivery?
It depends on the weight of the order and the destination country. Shipping cost is calculated at checkout.
Where do you based?
We are based in Paimpol, Côtes d'Armor, Brittany, France.
How long will it take to receive my order?
Whilst we do hold stock of most items, and in this case we will dispatch as soon as possible, however all of our items are complex to produce and are hand made in the studio. It can take 5 to 15 days to receive your order. You will be emailed when your order has been shipped.
Returns
Can I return an unwanted item?
Yes as long as this is not a bespoke piece I have created for you. Please see our full returns policy here.
How long do I have to return an item?
You have 14 days from receipt of your order to request a refund.
How do I return an item?
You must email me to request a refund. I will then give you instructions on how to return the item. You are responsible for the cost of postage and for ensuring the item is not damaged or lost in transit.
When will I receive my refund?
Providing the item is in perfect undamaged condition, we will process your refund within 10 working days of receiving it here at Secret Garden Glass. Please note it may take a few extra days for your bank to process the refund.
Gift Vouchers
Can I use a gift voucher to book a glass blowing workshop?
Yes you can choose a voucher that corresponds to the course you would like to join.
What if the Glass Blowing Workshop price changes after I have purchased a worksop gift voucher?
You will have to pay the difference at checkout.
Can I use a gift voucher to purchase items in the online shop?
Yes we offer a variety of gift voucher values that can be used to purchase items on the website.
What happens if the gift voucher value is less than the order total?
You can simply pay the difference at checkout.
What happens if the gift voucher value is more than the order total?
The difference will be held in your account and can be redeemed on future orders, simply enter the same voucher number at checkout.
Where in the checkout process do I enter my gift voucher number?
On the payment page at checkout there is a box called “Gift Card”, enter your gift voucher number here.
How long is a gift voucher valid for?
12 months from date of purchase.

We accept Visa, Mastercard and Apple Pay.
Unique Pieces
Can I purchase unique pieces?
Yes I create one off pieces that are available for sale. A selection can be found here. Please email me to discuss.
Can you make items for businesses?
Yes I have created many items for hotels, shops, galleries etc. Please use the contact form on the website to discuss further.
Other Questions
How long have you been a glassblower?
I have been blowing glass for over 30 years. I set up my first glassblowing workshop Verglass° in Paimpol, France in 2003. I recently decided to set up this new venture to focus more on my glass artworks. It is here in my purpose built studio that I design and make my creations inspired by the environment here in Brittany.
Can I visit the workshop?
You can only visit the workshop by appointment, either on a glass blowing workshop or to purchase some items.
Do you have open days?
I run occasional open days at the studio where you can meet me and browse my creations. Please sign up for my newsletter below to be kept informed of my next open day.
Do you have a newsletter?
Yes I write occasional newsletters to inform customers of new products launches and occasional events at the workshop. You can sign up below.
Do you share my data with other companies?
No, we will never share your data, other than with our couriers for obvious reasons and Shopify which is the website platform.
There is a dog in some of the images on your website, who is he/she?
That is Rudy, he is my little sausage dog, he accompanies me everywhere.
